Important Announcement for DPCC membership

Dear Valued Chamber and Community Members,

We hope that you and your family are safe in this difficult time.  As we all know too well, the way we go about our day to day lives has changed.  The coronavirus has impacted us all in how we interact with one another, which includes how we conduct business.  The recent shutdown has slowed or altogether stopped the ability of local businesses to create revenue and that has already impacted the income of so many.

The primary responsibility of a Chamber of Commerce is to first and foremost protect and, wherever possible, advance the well being of local businesses.  Beyond that, it is to see that as businesses prosper the surrounding community is then positively impacted.  Both of these initiatives are something that we as the Executive Board do not take lightly.

Therefore, by a unanimous decision within our leadership, we are taking decisive action to do our part to support you during this time.  Effective immediately, we are extending the renewal dates for all current members for 5 additional months.  So, if your renewal month is April, the annual dues will be pushed to September.  We don't want anything to stand in the way of you staying with us as we trek through this difficult time together.

We also recognize that by growing our network, we can create more opportunities for us all.   Also effective April 1st, 2020, membership fees are suspended through September for new applicants.  This will allow those who are currently non-members to join us as we work together to promote one another and push through.

Our commitment to fiscal responsibility over the years has thankfully afforded us the opportunity to invest back into you, our members, during this time.  Our Marketing committee is launching a proactive campaign to promote our businesses via social media and other digital platforms.  We are leveraging paid ads, daily social posting, live business interviews, optimization of our new website, and other efforts to give your business much-needed exposure.

It is my firm belief that with your participation and the steps that we are taking today, we will be stronger corporately and individually when we get through this.  We will get through this.

Here is what you can do to help us expedite this process.
  • Complete your online profile on www.chamberdeerpark.org
  • Reach out to us and tell us specifically how we can help you promote your business at this time.
  • Spread the word by referring a friend or colleague to our Chamber.
  • Pledge with us that, whenever possible, we support our members with a "Chamber first" mentality as we do our day to day business.

We are stronger together.  Thank you for partnering with us as we press on to keep Deer Park Strong.
